Terex recently introduced a new generation of Super Quiet Towable Power Generators or Gensets at the Power Gen Show in Las Vegas. The new line includes thirteen models with prime power outputs from 20-406 kVA (16-325 kW). Terex Industrial Generators or Gensets are designed and built to deliver high quality and high value to the rental industry and the jobsite. All models simultaneously deliver both single and three-phase outputs; the three-phase outputs are available in 208, 220, 240, 416, 440, 480 and optional 600-volt AC supplies while single-phase outputs of 120, 127, 139, 240, 254 and 277 volts AC are standard. The power side of the control panel on these models includes a main breaker, two GFCI duplex receptacles and two or three Tempower Twistlock receptacles, depending on the model.

Terex Portable Diesel Generators are driven by powerful yet fuel-efficient diesel engines from Deere, Perkins or Isuzu. Run time at 75% load ranges up to 78 hours on a single tank of fuel. Fuel tanks of all Terex industrial generators are incorporated in the structural base of the unit for durability and protection. This design also means that the fuel stays with the generator, rather than the trailer. Combined with the unit's standard automatic start controller, the self-contained tank feature enables the unit to be rented as a mobile power genset source or deployed separately for permanent power applications. Trailers are supplied in either single or double axle versions, depending on overall size of the unit.

Both user-and environment-friendly, Terex Mobile Diesel Generators incorporate a totally new design that reduces noise. This new system enables the generator or genset to run at peak operating efficiency and a quiet 68 dbA (@23' or 7m). Single or double wall spill containment tanks employ internal fueling to further minimize spillage on the jobsite. New black background control panels and large, easy-to-read analog gauges provide optimum visibility on even the brightest days. Engine performance gauges include water temperature, oil pressure, engine hours, fuel level and battery voltage while power output is monitored in volts, amps and frequency. An engine control module monitors engine condition and shuts it down immediately during fault conditions.
